What is the International Forum ‘Creative Ukraine’?
‘Creative Ukraine’ is a platform for political and expert discussion on the development of state policy in the field of cultural and creative industries (CCI). Promoting cooperation between government, civil society and businesses, the Forum aims to enhance public-private cooperation in the field of CCI at national and regional levels. The event will gather international experts on the creative economy, creative professions and culture policymakers from all over Europe.
What is the International Forum ‘Creative Ukraine’?
‘Creative Ukraine’ is a platform for political and expert discussion on the development of state policy in the field of cultural and creative industries (CCI). Promoting cooperation between government, civil society and businesses, the Forum aims to enhance public-private cooperation in the field of CCI at national and regional levels. The event will gather international experts on the creative economy, creative professions and culture policymakers from all over Europe.
What will our activities be?
On the first day, participants are going to reflect on the necessary conditions and instruments for developing Ukrainian creative enterprises and boosting their competitiveness. The role of creative sectors in social and economic development will be emphasised during the panel discussions. Moreover, a special high-level political panel session ‘Modern Urban Culture. Baukultur’ is planned to be held.
On the second day of the Forum, main mechanisms of the funding and institutional support of CCI, as well as the latest trends in design, fashion, and book publishing sectors, will be in focus of the practical workshops with international experts.
Who is this Forum for?
International Forum is designed for creative professionals and businesses, government representatives, public institutions and projects, researchers and people involved in policy development in Ukraine, the EU and other countries.
The main organiser of the Forum is the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. The event is also implemented under the Culture Bridges Programme, which is funded by the EU and managed by the British Council in partnership with the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) network in Ukraine. The Forum is supported by the EU-funded project ‘Association4U’ and the initiative ‘Ukraine 2030. The Doctrine of Sustainable Development’.
