III ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL FORUM
Creative Ukraine 19
About forum.
The Third Annual International Forum ‘Creative Ukraine’ 2019 is a platform for political and expert discussion on the development of state policy in the field of creative industries.

This year’s Forum is focused on the role of innovation in creative industries’ development. Our primary goal is to elaborate policy options that use digital technologies as an integral tool of creative industries’ support. We are going to reflect on the relationship between traditional culture and modern technologies and develop a mechanism for introducing high-tech cultural innovation at national and regional levels. Contemporary advancements such as artificial intelligence, VR, AR & MR, blockchain, big data, 3D printing will be conceptualised as an instrument for providing equal access to culture, promoting the diversity of cultural expression, generating high added value of the creative product.
The first day of the Forum will present:
  • the latest tendencies of the Ukrainian state policy in the field of creative industries;
  • Ukraine’s position in the international cultural and economic space of creative industries;
  • discussion on the digital competences in creative industries;
  • a special panel session dedicated to contemporary art that actively uses inclusive, artistic, technological and economic potential of innovation.

The second day of the Forum is practically oriented: we expect to develop necessary tools for the sustainable development of creative industries in Ukraine, in particular in the areas of design, fashion, book publishing and audiovisual sector. Methods of Ukraine’s integration in the European Digital Single Market within the intellectual property rights in the field of creative industries will be in the spotlight of the second day.
The main organiser of the Forum is the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of Ukraine. The event is also implemented under the Culture Bridges Programme, which is funded by the EU and managed by the British Council in partnership with the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) network in Ukraine.
